The 2020 Libertadores Final will take place on January 30th at the Maracanã in Rio de Janeiro, at 5 PM local time, 3 PM in the Eastern Time Zone of the United States and 8 PM GMT. It will be the second Libertadores Final played as a one-off match at a neutral ground.

Palmeiras will face off against Boca Juniors or Santos with the match to be played behind closed doors due to the COVID-19 pandemic, which also delayed the completion of the competition until the early part of 2021.

The match will be the second time the Libertadores Final has been decided at the Maracanã, with the first coming in 2008 as Ecuador’s Liga de Quito topped Fluminense on penalties to become the only Ecuadorian side to lift the Libertadores title.
